Grandma Dearest Poem by Huzaifa Zoeb

Grandma Dearest

Grandma…. Grandma…..Grandma…..
Long live Grandma!
Strong and kind Grandma!
The knot of the many strands of the family, Grandma!
You have now seen the third generation
And there is certainly no end to your affection,
Loving and kind, Grandma!
Still interested in all and everything
Though health-wise you've taken a beating;
Grandpa's with you, and so are your sons and daughters all;
They visit you, they love you, they stay the nights with a hold-all.
You often have giddiness, and the ear-drum looks like it's broken,
But you talk, you participate and offer all who come your love token.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I could see my 80+ grandma slowly losing her abilities, and her children could do nothing more than be increasingly concerned... that's life, isn't it?
