Grandma Clay Poem by Jessica Henning

Grandma Clay

Rating: 5.0

Today i thought of you and smiled to the sky
i didnt understand i wasnt ready to say bye...

i can still hear your voice telling me to be all that i can
to live my life the hardest and fall for a descent man...

'dont be foolish now young lady your a clay i know its hard
but what ever you do dont let down your guard.'

i barely remember your face like we never really met
but the days i spent with you ill never never forget...

when times are gettin tough and im lost on what to do
i simply close my eyes and some how you help me through...

i always ask to hear your voice and see your beautiful face
i vision you with the biggest smile and angel wings set in place...

im the luckiest little girl to be able to call you mine
every time my eyes start to rain i feel a tingle down my spine...

i will see you in my dreams when i lay down to go to sleep
and ill feel your warm embrace when my eyes decide to weep...
