Grand Finale Poem by Chelsea Wallace

Grand Finale

Step at the gate, it's a promise to sing
step in the chapel and see
to sing, to cry, to fly again
yet you still make a smile for me
your petals are torn and nobody sees
but you can still sit up and press on the keys
and then youre on stage and all can see
that it was you sorrow's finale
youve been past the cancer strand
but your grace can withstand
the strength of a thousand men
tears can dispite
you can sing to the elate
and you wont be at your wits end
because your petals are colors unmatched
they glow when all is dark
as soon as you bloom, all hearts will see
it was your sorrow's grand finale.
