I need a road to take me out of here
Take me far away from you
I'll get my car to go real fast
I might even drive past those places you said we couldn't go

The lake should reflect the mountains
All I can see is your eyes
And even though this town is big
It will never be big enough for the both of us

I put my hands in fire for you
The scars will always be with me
Some say they fade with time
I believe they fade with each mile

I'm going to keep driving now
And I'm not scared to laugh at my mistakes
Because they are lessons we learn

You said I wouldn't get to far
But look at me now
And look where you are
At least i have my pride

My gas tank is filled
