Goodbye Old Year
Oh dear old year, goodbye!
Goodbye, oh dear old year,
You have given many memories,
We have received emotion,
Together we have traveled
So far in middle highway,
Now we shall separate soon,
December is knocking at door,
Last day will be closing day,
Hey you dear Old Year!
After Christmas celebration,
The last day will come near.
We sing now a goodbye song,
In between union and separation,
Still we hope for the best time,
Momentary joy will motivate mind,
God's creation is very wonderful,
Day after day have passed soon,
Today's moment has many tides.
In this goodbye song we tell
Goodbye to you dear Old Year,
All of your teeth have fallen
Down to Earth we look at again,
You are now edentulous oh dear,
We say goodbye to you forever.

It is amazing, your energy and enthusiasm, and touching the heart of everything, to say it's a good poem saying goodbye to 2018 may sound trivial, a bit too obvious. Yet, that is the truth.
Old year goes and new year comes, it has been happening and it will happen again. A nice farewell to 2018.
The concept of bidding good bye to the passing year and the mixed emotions associated there-with have been wonderfully versified in this farewell song. Thanks for sharing. It definitely deserves full marks.
