Goodbye My Love Poem by Brian Furber

Goodbye My Love

Four autumns and four springs I've known you dear
And hoped that I could always be your friend
But now the time has come to leave me here
With memories of you that never end.

They say a man should never really miss
A love denied and never truly had
If that is so, they would tell me this,
Why summers gone and I am cold and sad.

My love for you I'll try best to quell
And to my future sorrows readjust
for when you go, I'll come and wish you well
Goodbye my love - Farewell if go you must.
