Goodbye (Adieu) Poem by Adams King

Goodbye (Adieu)

Rating: 4.3

Let it be that it was only a dream
But we are not asleep
It been some days now
Still lifeless you lie

Is love a crime again
To have afflicted you with pains
Your lover your darling one
Took away your dear life

Now you meet such early grave
leaving in tears the brave
We can't hold it but cry for you
Oh! brother, we say adieu.

Crime provokes thought and brings sorrow. Death by crime is painful. This is a sensitive poem amazingly presented....10
