Good To Me Poem by David Harris

Good To Me

Sitting in my car by a field
on a sunny Sunday afternoon
watching the swallows
doing aerobatic in the sky.
I had my window open in case one
wanted to fly in and say hello.
I watched as they swooped
low across the field.
Relaxing I watched in calm repose
at nature’s bounty in the field outside my car.
I closed my eyes for a few moments
feeling relaxed by all I could see.
Knowing deep down inside
this old world was good to me.
