Going On Twelve, Thirteen, Fourteen, Fifteen Poem by Leslie Ching

Going On Twelve, Thirteen, Fourteen, Fifteen

When I turned twelve-oh what a fright!
Home alone for half a night!

When I turned thirteen, life was a bore
Lists of chores like none before!

When I turned fourteen, Depression reigned
Plenty lost and little gained-

A year will pass, what fifteen brings
I sure hope will spice up things-

For life's too short to dwell on the bad-
Leave behind the unwanted and sad...
