Goggles And Goggle-Box Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Goggles And Goggle-Box

Rating: 5.0

Science, Arts, Culture have been developed today,
Train, bus, vehicles are available that remove bay.
People of today use goggles, and goggle-box,
Some of are intelligent and some are fox. [1]

Yong mass like to use goggles of different colour,
Black, brown, blue as their like, nobody holler.
Things are seen them as per their goggles' glass,
Colour wise things appear, goggle beautify the sass. [2]

If a person has a quality of empathy he can judge,
Painful life is of disabled, beggar, poor and drudge.
Person with love and peace can win other's heart,
A cruel man gets pleasure by harming innocent hart. [3]

Children, young ladies, gents, old women and old men,
Watch goggle-box daily as per their wish as they can,
What do they see together sitting on television screen?
They watch film, drama, dance and news, violence scene. [4]

Whatever they see here is nothing to say anytime more,
T.V influences them very much, they neglect their chore.
Only scene of drama "Harischandra, the great emperor"
This has changed life of Mahatma Gandhi, a great glitter. [5]

What will be to us or to our kids' really in upcoming future?
If they do watch scenes of bad fighting that harm and torture.
We may watch many Spiritual Channels like Peace of Mind,
These teach us value, love, purity, nonviolence and Kind. [6]

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It is a scene of modern age. We have developed in every direction like Science, Arts, Culture, Literature, Health and many more. We are enjoying much more facilities like T.V, Computer, Vehicles, Science apparatus etc. How the young mass will not be misguided is the theme of this poem. At present buses, trains, airplanes and different kinds of vehicles are available. We use these and need not require cart or horse etc. Young mass uses different color of goggles which protect dust, wind, insects and sunlight. A goggles user sees the things as the same color of glasses of the goggles. It means that a kind hearted person having empathy must feel the pain of disabled persons, poor and labourers. A cruel man gets pleasure from harming others. Ladies, Gentlemen and young along with old women and men look at Google-box which is known as T.V. They see different types of programmes or scenes of good or bad like violence, cheat and fighting filled with many more unspeakable topics which increase negativity among them. Only a scene changed Mahatma Gandhi to a great man and that was the drama scene of "Harischandra, the great emperor", who obeyed the laws of truth and nonviolence in his words and action. If our children look at bad scenes, then what will be their future? Hence we should guide them and advice them to look at Spiritual Channels like Peace of Mind, Sanskar, Mangal Kalas etc. These teach us value, peace, purity, nonviolence and kindness etc. This is written in Deogarh, Odisha, India and is dedicated to the people of the world on this day of September,17th,2014.

Glossary: -

Thoughtful write. Very true said, internet, T.V. have good as well as bad advantage. If the new generation take interest in watching spiritual channels, their mind can be at peace rather than indulging in unwanted activities. But this never happens. They spend most of their time often in internet and discuss the things which we may also not know. Meaningful write. Loved reading it. Thanks for sharing with us.
