Gods Green Thumb Poem by Adam Collins

Gods Green Thumb

Rating: 4.0

I break through the soil and climb still higher above the foliage
A constant struggle to impress, be beautiful like you
You seem to always attract the rain, yet the sun forever shines upon you
I want to free myself from the drought, the sun's so bright it blinds me
Won't fortune bring me a dropp of relief when I'm so close to you?
There must be more to this...
A helping hand...
Am i not worthy of Gods green thumb?
Although your beauty outweighs mine you have me believe I am Significant
I know now there is no green thumb, just the will to grow and develope
Into something that charms the eyes into persuading the nose to wonder
If we are sweet enough to move the heart
Your scent has moved many hearts, but you have me believe I am
Special
You have intoxicated my senses and now I know I need your beauty
I'm so close to you now
But you cut me down
The perfume you wear deceived my senses
To cover up the stench of your thorns
And these lacerations will stunt my growth
You have used me as your fertilizer
For without me you would seem bigger than none
But soon I know
Your thorns will show
