God's Astonishment Poem by Marilyn Lott

God's Astonishment

Rating: 5.0

Imagine if God looked down on us
Which I know He truly does
Shakes His head in astonishment
Wonders what is the cause.

The cause of folks hurting others
Sickness both physical and mental
Year after year are things getting worse?
It seems it all has sure taken a toll.

I think, and this is only in my mind
That He gave us a brain to use
To understand both right and wrong
Not look for a way to excuse.

It has to hurt Him, can you imagine
We are His children, He loves us so
I know He didn't expect all of the wrong
He can't just let us go.

So what can He do? I ask myself this
So many us our prayers we have sent
For after all, he is our loving Father
Let's just imagine God's astonishment!
