Godmother's House Poem by Brittany Messersmith

Godmother's House

Rating: 2.5

I walk in and I can still smell him
I hear his voice ringing in the halls
You tell he never left the house...
Yet he is gone
She sits there in the empty house almost as if she is saying good bye
A tear trickles down her cheek but it's time to move on
Memories of him haunt her dreams
As the car is packed
The boys get in the truck
The youngest whispers
'Good Bye Jesse'
