Goddess In Me Poem by Katie Hayes

Goddess In Me

Tears welling up
In my eyes
I hear them calling
but I'm up too high

The casted shadows
And moonsilver sand
staining black in my hair
and white on my hands

I'm standing on
the edge of a cliff
the wind is blowing
my faith is following it

As I watch
the sun rise
I feel myseif
begin to disguise

My whole life
is following a path
Winding up and down
Within my wrath

There's a goddess in me
hiding her power from their eyes
She's whispering to me
how I should be reborn

I jump from the cliff
and land on nothing
I wake up from this
to be the Goddess in me...
