The world lies large before me,
I hear many voices, Love, Adventure, Sacrifices,
My God is near me, directing my way

Love itself compels me!
Something deep directs,
Before my boldness leads me
To excessive steps.
My God is near me, directing my way

Adventure calls, commands me,
It cares not for a Peace,
Yet I do not wholly follow
In the winds release.
My God is near me directing my way

Sacrifice filled with honor,
Self made man- all true,
Before I give all but self,
Saddest end when through.
My God is near me, directing my way

Still! world lies large before me,
Still! hear many voices,
