From Where Poem by Charles Nichols

From Where

I know my roots and whence I came
Whence my tiny square of fame
Where my talents have begun
Where my joy came springing from

It is not a mystery
Whence my oft security
Whence my spirit has been prospered
Where my needs, The Lord! has proffered

But there's something lacking still
Offspring of my haughty will
This bitter fact that galls me yet
Is how I often still forget!

Good flow; must be other offspring of will too Charles.
