God's Truth Standing Poem by Michael P. Johnson

God's Truth Standing

Who'll read the bible every day
Seeking God's face to see
From one's depth of soul, heartfelt pray
Each burden to be free

Oft time's one's own, sometimes others
A little while, or more
Strangers, friends, fathers mothers
We'll knock on Heaven's door

Is this; what Christians are about?
What God Himself commands?
Should such we believe, question, doubt
Safe, in salvation's hands

Is it religion, is it God's will?
Is vital time misspent?
Should we as now, continue still?
Or from today repent?

Questions as these, grow everywhere
Answers, sometimes seem cruel
More times with love tendered with care
But how would Jesus rule?

Would it be similar as the past?
Differ in ways we share?
How will decide The First & Last?
If now, we kneel in prayer

Is this not how it should be done?
Differences to decide?
Selflessly seeking Christ Gods Son
To keep or turn life's tide

Over two thousand years we've squabbled
Denominations try
Though sometimes, some church has wobbled
But God's Truth! will never die.....
