God's Grace Poem by Arely Corral

God's Grace

God's Grace
For if not for God's loving grace,
I'd still be wandering about.
Confused.
In a deep bitter haze.

If not for God's sweet
Love's embrace,
I'd still feel dead inside.
Still lurking around
In that dark lonely place.

If not for God's blessing
Of each brand new day
I'd still be lost trying
To find my way.

If not for God's
Almighty power,
I'd still be slipping…sliding,
Hunched over behind that bottle
Like a coward.
