Go Into Town Poem by Ynon Hermon

Go Into Town

It is just a clear night
on a misused road
and I keep into the lines
one step at a time

The warm air carries
the cold sounds
of beauty and desire
while the full bright moon laughs back
leaves me only to admire

And it makes me wonder
makes me want to savour the moment
why don't I come here more often
where everything is forgotten

I think i saw some lights
not far ahead, into the night
and I can't do nothing but slow down
because im not ready to go into town

It is just a misused road
on a clear night
and I'll be gone before it is light.
