Glove - Poem by Ravi Kumar

Will u make a hand glove,
and try to put your feet in?
Will u make a hand glove,
and try to contain water in it?
Will u make a hand glove,
and try to carry goods in it?
Will u make a hand glove,
and try to keep your riches in it?
Nothing fits, nothing suits.
Glove is made to contain hand;
not to contain your feet
Glove is made to fit your hand;
not to fit your goods
Nothing fits the glove as
exactly as your hands.
Other than your hands,
nothing fits, and suits your glove.
You are the glove, and
god is the hand
You’re not to contain food
in your stomach
You’re not to contain knowledge
in your mind
You’re to contain god
in your spirit.
Other than this hand (god) ,
nothing fits, and suits this glove (you) .
