If I could take time and edit it
I would loop those hours with you
endlessly.

If it were in my hands like carnival candy
I would savor the sweetness which reminds me of you.
You too melt on my tongue
.
I'd put your smile on pause
better to see each expression phase
each eye twinkling
better to see that glow your face knows
when happiness rushes in.

Give me the sound effects
of beating hearts;
of rushing air;
of lungs filling;
of toes crossed;
in the afterglow;
of body spoons;
and deep signs
of whispered tones;
finger tip blushes
on smooth skin.

I'd take my time rush
wrapping it around my body and yours at night
when we sleep
to cherish
in our timeless dreams.
