This one day my friend held my hand
Near to the door she paused to stand
All who were watching did not speak
As a silent tear runs down my cheek
And through my mind the memories ran
Of the moments they walked on the sand
But now her eyes were terribly cold
This one day had grown horribly old
For she would could possibly never
Have her to hold, again or ever
They watched in silence as she bent near
Whispered quietly one thing in my ear
Since this is such a special day, just today
With dreams and hopes out there to stay
Tears are flooding and dreams are crumbled
As here this day I fell and harshly stumbled
Breathe life into life itself and give a little
