Gift For Jesus Poem by Ima Ryma

Gift For Jesus

The young boy orphaned and alone
Does join the Magi caravan,
Following a star brightly shone
For a miracle for all man.
The Magi, wise men, three of them
Do take gifts for the newborn King
In a manger in Bethlehem.
The young boy's sad, he has nothing
But an old drum given him by
His parents in happier days.
And the young boy begins to cry,
So Mother Mary gives him praise.

For Jesus' birth, as his welcome,
The young boy gently plays his drum.
