George Blagden

A friend said, 'A blague in France
is a joke, a tall story and a leg-pull;
and a blagueur -euse is a humbug and joker.'

Another said, 'George Blagden played the eponym
in the television series 'Louis XIV'.'

A fan of the series, 'Excusez-moi: ' said I,
'George Blagden played Louis XIV
in the TV series 'Versailles'.'

'D'accord, ' said the first, 'vrai dites vous;
and a blague is a tobacco pouch too.'
