General Restlessness Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

General Restlessness

There be a general restlessness
In all around me
And in me

I felt since the zenith of the
Sun abated fading day:
Sunset was beginning.

The more in dusk, then in
The arms of night, in its
Enfolding,
Let me as in a hummock sleep
And fade.
