Gandhi (The 2nd of October()
Gandhi, ,
Roses for you, Sire,
You accept them, my Lord
On your birthday,
My simple gifts for you, Sire,
You do not know it,
How much do I love you,
How much feel I for you,
Father of the Nation?
Gandhi
Satya, ahimsa aur shantih ke pujari,
Where you Gandhi,
O votary of truth, non-violence and peace?
Smiling simply on hearing it,
To thwart the question
Asked.
Gandhi has passed into our mind and heart
And the voice of truth is his voice,
The voice of world peace,
Wherever there is a talk of non-violence
Gandhi is therein.
I see the statue, pay a homage to
Whenever I keep passing through,
Following his instructions,
Derivign from his philosophy.
Bura Mat Dekho, Bura Mat Kaho Aur Bura Mat Shuno
'Bapuji ke tin bandar',
When said I to ask, .
' How many? '
'Three, 'came the answer
From children lispingly.
And again when I,
'What did he leson? '
'Do not see you bad, do not speak you bad and do not hear you bad.'
