Games Poem by Hayley Lewis

Games

I played a game with myself and I'm tangled,
I'm twisted and hanging in threads
I'm afraid and cant move, and I'm helpless
Dangling awefully close to the edge.

I played a game with myself and I'm clueless
The instructions were written in Greek
I don't understand how this happened,
When I wanted to lay down and sleep.

I played a game with myself and I'm fallen,
You won and I lost, I concede
I'm drowned and erupted and bleed
Waiting alone to be freed.
