Gaia Poem by Whitney Stevens

Gaia

Salt the earth and you will grow
A thousand more of ash and snow
All toppled by a single blow
All distanced by a single throw

Give them life and they will raze
Too dignified to merely graze
Millions in a little maze
Millions die in their own haze

Take our life and we will cry
Tell us why and do not lie
You slay us even though we try
To save the earth from where we rise
