Gabriel Poem by Alison Mary Dunn

Gabriel

Rating: 5.0

He stands out from the crowd
This deep poetic being
So dignified in his madness
On a higher plane of feeling

A solitary socialite
Of mysterious mind
A beautiful and gifted soul
And one so rare to find

Gabriel

I often think of you

So full of thought and care
So kind, so gently spoken
In all your dark despair

‘I saw you the other day’ he said
As he passed my way
‘I almost called your name, but then
Was lost for words to say’

‘Was high on crack at the time
Like the company where I sat
So I thought to myself..Na!
You don’t wanna see that’

Dear friend it makes me sad to learn
About your physical need
And know this is the reason why
Our worlds do seldom meet

So should our paths n’er cross again
I know this much is true
Oh graceful heart be rest assured
I will remember you.

Gabriel sounds like a rare and gifted soul. A word portrait worthy of the name, dear Alison. 10/10. Ever your friend, Sandra
