Fumious Poem by Drew Engman

Fumious

Fumious You Me Us
(Playing with vowel sounds: Long/Short& Short/Long etc.)

Gave out in the gap
Between bleeding and bled,
The light once lit
Still shows one shot.
Acute enough to guide a cut,
Bad enough to break a heart.

Everything is even now;
Live, your chance is here, alive.
Flawed as hell, but still it flows
In us together - me and you.

Sweet taste on my teeth, nice as I know,
Gratitude.
So, after we end, No If's why's ought's,
We had so much!

Age has each test, wise or witless,
Fought and over;
You, Me, Us.
