Full Circle Poem by Walterrean Salley

Full Circle

Rating: 5.0

Low self-esteem.
She never thought herself beautiful
And all her life
Tried to hide from the world.
Keeping silently to her prison,
She thought she had nothing to offer.

But one day, while peering into
A mirror often shunned,
She saw something.

And looking deep, deep within,
She saw beauty that would
Out-shine the sun.
Her prison doors were opened
And she was free.
