Frying Pan Poem by RIC BASTASA

Frying Pan

there are times when
life becomes one fish helpless
on the silent heat
of the coconut oil

to the utmost the harshness
lies on the charring of the skin
the protest of the scales
the flesh
no longer edible
to the chagrin of the mouth
