From The 3rd Story Window Poem by Sheridan Spence

From The 3rd Story Window

Leaves of palm

Still, in the tranquil

Sunlit chill of dusk:

Solitary guards

To muddled house and hill.

Solid stalks frame

Pale azure horizon

Seeking harbor behind

Mountain’s crest.

Echoes of invisible stars

Glide

Upon breezy breath:

Nightfall slinks nearer.
