In the sun we were basking
On the day you were asking
If my heart would always be true.
My answer I told you,
My arms would enfold you
From now, till life's journey is through.

So, don't ever doubt me
When you are without me;
I will soon be returning to you.
In church friends will find us
As the preacher unites us
From now, till life's journey is through.

So, please, please believe me
And never mislead me,
Every moment I live just for you.
My vows I have taken...
All others forsaken
