The moon orbits the earth
The earth orbits the sun
Timeless they go round and round
Moving together, moving as one

So we circled, you and I
Touching each other, touching as one
The past was gone, the future bright
Now it is over, now it is done

Tears well up as I remember
The possibilities and the joy
Me playing the man, strong and sure
You playing the woman, ever so coy

The future was bright and endless
It rolled on and on, ever on
All the light in the world was ours
Now it is over, now it is gone

The pain of it all burns me
Seers my soul ever so deep
The pain of losing something so great
Over my heart it slowly does creep

Know that for me, in the depths of my soul
It will always be there, it will never end
All the love in the world and happiness too
From my soul to yours I always do send
