From Heaven The Rain Poem by Paul Reed

From Heaven The Rain

Rating: 3.5

From heaven the rain came
And nourished the parched earth
Extinguished the sun's flame
Gave freshness new birth;

The breezes rush through the green
The dripping leaves parade
The nooks and arbours stand serene
In the coolness of the shade;

What balance nature holds
To replenish earth's store
Renewing the glades and folds
Topping up the brook once more.
