Friend Oh Friend. Poem by Olla AbiolaAremu

Friend Oh Friend.

Rating: 4.5

In you I seek solace
I seek your ears to pour my heart.
I seek you to relieve me of the
Heavy burdens of my heart
In hard times we stood together
Unnumbered happy moments stored in our memories.
Why have you become my worries?
Why did you chose to thread that path

A sheep I seem you to be
But little did I see beneath your furs
But you just revealed the paws.
I need remind you not that
The shell of the tortoise is always
The snake's nightmare
To you, I shall be
The squirrel teeth that
Crack the riddle of the palm.

A friend in need is a friend indeed. A good friend is almost the equal of a good and happy family. A nice poem well articulated and written with conviction. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
