Free Fall Poem by Joseph Cross

Free Fall

Rating: 5.0

Could it be that we in life do not see,
That roller coaster on which we ride?
And yet, at times such as these,
We feel the track peak,
And plummet for miles.
And it almost feels like missing,
A step while climbing stairs,
Like your stomach falls to your toes,
And your heart follows it there.
And then your heart crashes to the floor,
And shatters like a glass,
But the moment, though it was extreme,
Shall be buried deep within the past.

Intesting and well written. Yes I have had some of those heart stopping moments.
