There is a star that shines so bright
In the deepths of the long dark night
It comforts me to see it there
And makes me think that you still care
Although I know you've gone away
It gives me hope we'll meet again someday
When my turn comes to leave this place
I'll come and join you up in space
Reunited we will be
Once more together you and me
And as for those I'll leave behind
I hope I will stay within their mind
And when it's their time to be free
They'll gently float up here to me.

Hello Alison, I think your poem is really great. It touched me and made me think of my loved ones that are gone too. The candence, and conversation like flow of the poem is what gives it great beauty.
