Fraudulent Ways Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Fraudulent Ways

Those who parade,
A charading of fraudulent ways.
Under masquerade to portray,
What has been faked.
Eventually pay the price.
And that day,
To be publicly displayed.
May not be kind, pretty or nice to see.
Along with others.
Whether they knew or not,
They too had been betrayed.
Too late will be excuses made.
Or a forgiveness coming,
From those whose lives were ruined.
By the ones who enjoyed,
Making fools to consciously do to others.
Only to discover,
Being dropped from heights.
To suffer with others,
Like themselves in gutters.
God does not play,
With anyone who betrays.
