Frances Griffiths And Elsie Wright Poem by Justin Gildow

Frances Griffiths And Elsie Wright

Cousins they are
Inseperable
A war in this world has broken out
And it's all around the world
The world and era they're living in
Yet they're together
They have each other

They visit the pond often
Where they claim to have seen the
fairies
Where they claim to have befriended
the fairies
They have a connection with them

Frances Griffiths and Elsie Wright

Building a fairy house
They both carry it to the pond
Hoping that the fairies will have a
use for it
That they'll decide to live there

Many would think they're daft
Yet I should know that the world
won't listen
Believe in what you want to believe
girls
Dream in what you want to dream
Because as I've learned
Sometimes, all you need to do is
follow the beat to your own drums
Sometimes, you need to listen to your
own hearts
Whether you want to believe in the real
world
Or believe in the fairy world
Or shall I call it a fantasy world
Sometimes, all that matters
Is believing in yourselves
Believing to yourselves

Frances Griffiths and Elsie Wright
The world has been torn apart by war
But through it all
You have each other
Cousins as you are
Cousins as you may be
You have each other
And you both are friends with the
fairies
Maybe at some point
They'll offer you both tea
They'll invite you both for tea

Frances Griffiths and Elsie Wright
Some may think you're both daft
But I'd like to believe
That through day and night
You both will be alright
In this day
In this time
In this era
Let the naysayers say what they will
But you both are better off
You both will be alright
