Forgotten Name Poem by Archchi Ajita

Forgotten Name

Rating: 5.0

No, I'm not forgetful
I deliberately chose not to remember
The words that somersault across the distance,
Like tornadoes, strong enough
To wipe away an entire city,
Like hurricanes stirring the insides of me,
Your words, your weapon,
You used them against me.
Wrecked, annihilated, weakened, I sit.
My motionless body, so numb,
So lost
Calls for your care, but honey you got none
You're so drowned in your desires,
You've set your own soul on fire.
One day, when you're burnt, your words will be ashes.
Perhaps then, my motionless body will regain consciousness.
But darling, this is not my forgetfulness,
I honestly don't want to remember your name.
