Forgiveness
When he injures your heart in a rare moment
with unkindness he later regrets
you could choose to never forgive him
or to swallow your pride and forget
by showing forgiveness when you've been hurt
injured by words callous and curt
would love not then be victorious
is this not it's great design
to shine even brighter still
when challenged and trapped in a dark time
