Forever Lost Poem by ryan valler

Forever Lost

You stabbed the dagger in my back,
Then took it out again. All this
time, in this world, assumed you
were my friend. Now I'm left with
only blood and pain, in this thing
called life. Thought we went together
just like, my body and the knife. Now,
I'm just, the one with scars, and your
forever lost tonight. Memories fill my
mind, of all the times we were together.
Now you went and flew away, like a bird
in stormy weather.Guess I shouldn't expect
less, you've finally left forever. And now as
the tale does fade, and your memory is a
ghost. Of all of those who left my life,
you'll be missed the most. I release the
dagger from my back, and notice two
red stains. One of course from you
stabbing me, but that is not the pain.
The other doesn't match my blood,
it only means one thing. The story
of our life together, has a tragic end-ing.
Bringing you into my life again, was my
best endeavor. I just must give into the
facts, that you are lost forever.
