Forever Alive Poem by persian khushi

Forever Alive

Rating: 5.0

In the dead of night
She knew
He was gone
Untimely soft voice
In her hand gripped the phone
He is gone,
he left this world
The doctor said

Sobs tore from her chest
She couldn'tbreathe
She needed space
No-one knew
Her anger
Her fear
Frustration of weeks prior
Separated, isolated

Neglected
He suffered
He fraught
They forced prodded
Poisoned
Injected
Held prisoner
Two weeks

He passed a shahid
Suppled body
Lose limbed joints
Cheeks were warm
As if alive
Had to be brave
I had to be strong
Now I'm alone

Coddled in his favourite shirt
Forever missed
Forever loved
Little patter of their feet
My babies cried their loss
Their papa gone
from this cruel world
Forevermore to live in their hearts
