Foreigner Poem by Dorsey Baker

Foreigner

Rating: 4.5

Foreigner
just a weed
growing up
in a flower garden
like a grey strand
in a head
of hair the color of black
foreigner
sickness of a single cell
at the mercy of all healthy
so many poor
more than the wealthy
Foreigner
no longer can you be
because you have become
a friend to the friendless
a home to the homeless
No more loneliness!

A foreigner is someone who can't fit in or relate to other people no matter where or who they may be. Some good imagery in the poem.
