was it the wind, was it the rain, or was it her the one to blame
was is earth or was it the sky, was it she the reason why
is it her clothes or her messy hair, or the way she spaced out in the air
is it her big eyes or her smile, or the way she believed every single lie
was it the sun, was it the moon, or how she gazed at 'em night and afternoon
was it the stars, was it the clouds, or just her starting up these doubts
is this your doing or somebody's art, or the forces of nature keeping you apart
is it her body, was it her perfume, or her heart that could never bloom
is it her hesitation or your fear, that unabled things to be clear
was it your talk or her silence, or were they both against this alliance
was it the warmth that she seeked, that she couldn't find at home
there's only one thing she needed, not to be alone
