Forbidden Love Poem by Brianna Trombley

Forbidden Love

Rating: 5.0

Every time I see you
I’m filled with butterflies
I get nervous,
The way I act, I despise

I try to play it cool
But my mind disappears
I cant think straight
Stuttered words are all you hear

You smile at me warmly
Sending shivers down my spine
You are perfect in every way
Our two hearts align

These feeling I have for you
Are ones that shouldn’t be
For I know nothing can ever happen
Between you and me

By years we are separated
Although they are few
It’s enough to make me stop
From what I truly want to do

But when we are together
The years just seem to fade away
We get lost in the moment
With you forever I wish I could stay

But then the world pulls me back
Reality and reason return
For now we will be friends
Although deep inside for you I yearn

I want you to know
That I will wait for you
Until the years no longer matter
And our love we can finally fall into
