For You Everything Can Wait Poem by Jennifer Peckins

For You Everything Can Wait

I wonder if you know
I wonder if you care
I wonder if you'll show
Even if I'm never there
Losing and bruising, so weak, so numb, but not?
Is there any more I can surrender?
And if there is do I have a shot?
The days and pain, come and go
One thing remains, the truth that I know
Everything else up in smoke
My friends, my dreams, the prayers I once spoke
Theres no point to regret
If I learn to forget
Its so far off from who I am
But not even I know who that person is supposed to be

Only one thing to save me
Happiness and glee, possibly
Your lips your eyes
your hand running up my thighs
my king your queen
something unknown, unseen

the day will arrive
when you and I
can find that other world once more
So soon,21 moons, we'll share one room
and in love we'll be forevermore
