I don’t understand
Why I like it when it rains
Why I thrive on fear and pain
Why my faith went down the drain
Why I’m told that I’m insane

But most of all, I don’t understand
Why I feel like I’m all alone
Why it feels like I’m without a home
Why without a heart I roam
Why I have to survive on my own

But I do understand
Why no one will grab my hand
Why my soul is filled with sand
Why you’ll never love me and
Why I won’t ever understand
